Step into our Think Like a Mathematician incursion, where students are challenged to go beyond calculations and truly think, reason, and problem-solve. Students develop the dispositions of a true mathematician, persistence, resilience, and self-belief, learning to embrace mistakes and value the thinking process.

Throughout the session, students engage in a carefully balanced mix of rich problem solving tasks and engaging puzzles. They’ll recognise patterns, think critically, and collaborate effectively as they work through a variety of challenges. Students test strategies, justify their thinking, and make meaningful mathematical connections allowing students to build and strengthen both confidence and capability in a supportive, high-engagement learning environment. Ideal for all students and high ability students as we aligned the challenges to the ability of the students, balancing productive struggle with success.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

$17 + GST - 1.5 hours

$45 + GST - Half day (3 hours)

$80 + GST - Full day (6 hours)

5% discount on bookings over 100 student that attend, confirmed with final invoice.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

F-2 students: Workshop runs as a 1.5 mins incursion with approximately 25 students.

Year 3-8 students: Workshops runs as a 1.5 hour incursion with approximately 25 students.

Double classes with two presenters is also an option, approx 50 students.

A classroom/open learning space is required, along with access to a projector.

Student supervision by teachers is required throughout the session.
