Maths Tutoring

We offer a range of one-on-one and group tutoring programs in 2024. Each program has been designed to ensure all students can access the educational support they need to build on their knowledge and understandings across all areas of mathematics, as well as strengthen their mindset and confidence towards mathematics. Our expertise ensures we are able to use a range of assessment techniques and evidence-based teaching approaches and strategies to create and deliver a tailored program that targets the needs of each individual child. We pride ourselves on our ability to create a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment that allows every student to thrive in mathematics.

We run our Limitless Maths workshops, programs and tutoring at our learning space located in South Morang. Due to the high interest in our tutoring program, we are adding more times and expanding the days that tutoring is available. If you are interested in our tutoring programs, please fill out the tutoring Waitlist Form (below) to express your interest in our programs and we will be in contact once the form is submitted.

Individual Tutoring Program

Our individual tutoring sessions are one-on-one with Nikki or Taryn and delivered at our South Morang venue. This program is ideal for students that are experiencing ongoing challenges in maths and require support and a personalised plan to strengthen their mathematical understandings, mindset and confidence. Students participating in this program may be below the expected level on their school report and/or their NAPLAN results.

This program includes:

  • Weekly sessions are structured to maximise student engagement. Explicit teaching and modelling of core maths concepts and skills are embedded throughout the session, along with sequenced and scaffolded tasks that target students at their individual point of need and build on concepts covered in previous sessions.

  • The first session (30 min complimentary assessment session) will heavily focus on collecting a range of data through formative and summative assessment tasks. This is to ensure accurate and realistic goals can be set and a personalised plan created for each student.

  • Programs are individualised for each student based on their learning needs, goals and learning styles.

  • We will use our expertise to select rich and authentic learning tasks that deepen student understandings, rather than just exposing them to content.

  • The interactive games we choose are selected with a specific purpose and are designed to be played regularly to practise a skill and support students to build confidence and develop mathematical fluency.

  • We will provide a personalised workbook to each of our tutoring students and we encourage them to use this book for all the work we do as part of the tutoring program. This becomes an important reference for students as it will contain worked examples, completed tasks and a documentation of their learning journey.

  • We will provide optional homework tasks to be completed in between tutoring sessions. These tasks will be independent tasks and explained within the tutoring session. Often this will be an interactive game and will reinforce a specific skill or concept.

  • We provide detailed feedback after each tutoring session. This feedback may be verbal or written, depending on the parents preference.

  • Our Google Classroom will provide a platform for students to connect with us in between sessions and interact with our other tutoring students. Students can post questions, upload homework tasks and stay connected.

Group Tutoring Program

Our small group tutoring sessions (maximum of 5 students) are run by Nikki or Taryn and delivered at our South Morang venue. These sessions are ideal for students that thrive in a group environment and require additional support in maths to strengthen their understanding of key mathematical concepts or students that are working above level in maths and would benefit from being extended and challenged.

This program includes:

  • Weekly sessions are structured to maximise student engagement. Explicit teaching and modelling of core maths concepts and skills are embedded throughout the session, along with sequenced and scaffolded tasks (both collaborative and independent tasks) that target students at their individual point of need and build on concepts covered in previous sessions.
